The Simpsons RIDE

This was the first ride we went on when we got to Universal Studios. I was sure what to think...not being a fan of the Simpsons I didn't even know where to begin to imagaine what I was getting myself into. I didn't know anything about Krustyland. And I hadn't heard anything about the ride.
I am here to tell you that we started out with the best ride.
We finished with the Incredible Hulk Coaster (in the background) at Island of Adventure. It was a close second. It was also more of what I was expecting a ride to be like. Ally, who had enjoyed the Woody Woodpecker Train Ride called it a train.

Beach Bums

Bonnie wanted to get buried in the sand. Ally didn't like the idea of putting sand all over her mom. We finally her got stop taking it off and help put it on. I would tell her we wanted to cover the blue and red.
After Bonnie was all coevered we decided Boyd could use the use the same treatment.

Sore Feet

We spent the day at Universal Studios in Orlando. It was a lot of fun. I have pictures and more to share. We all did a good job wearing ourselves out. More to come, keep checking....

I can see the ocean

We decided to spend Tuesday at the ocean. When I woke up around 7am (5am back home) we started getting ready to head out. We made it to New Smyrena by about 11am. As we got closer to the ocean each of us got a little more excited. Ally sounded the most excited. "I can see the ocean" she repeated. As we went to get in the water she didn't want to. After a while she was able to enjoy running back and forth. When time came to leave she kept wanting on more time in the water.

The Adventures of Mee 'n Boyd!

About 12:15 yesterday afternoon we were dropped off at the airport by my sister-in-law, Emily, my niece Rebecca, and nephew Isaac for the beginning of our adventure. I am glad I checked in on-line. That meant I could drop my luggage off at the curb without paying the $3 fee. The conspiracy... Did you know you cannot take a bottle of water through security? Yet, once you have made it through that check point there are a number off places you can buy water...12oz for $2.29...hummm. WiFi in at the Boise Airport is free. You should always have napkins, you never know when you might spill something. You have to pay for internet connection in Salt Lake...not a chance. The flight from SLC to Orlando was 4:14:44, with a happy and excited to return home crew. More to come...

Security Check

Although I looked in various locations to varify what I could take in my carry bag all I could find was information regaurding liquids. (I still tried with the water bottles.) After sending my bags through, and trying to walk through with my shoes on. Going back to take my shoes off and trying it again I was asked to step aside to witness them searching my bag to varify what was in it. "I bet it is the chili." My sister Bonnie loves chili. In particular Nalley's 99% fat free chili, which she cannot find in Florida. It is for that reason that I had 4 cans of it in my bag. Luck for her they decided to let me take it on board.

Florida, here I come.

I am not sure I am ready for the long time sitting on a plane. Especially after last weeks fall. I am looking forward to leaving things behind for a little bit. I do hope I didn't forget anything that I really need for the trip. I will be updating my blog while we go....

Comfy, Fluffy Chair

As previously mentioned I spent Monday sitting on a bag of ice. What I didn't mention was that I was sitting in the clinical director's (Matt) chair. He wasn't there, and I needed to be up front. It worked for mee. It was the end of the day. I was almost done. I had a couple of people in the office harassing mee when all of a sudden I realized my bag of ice was leaking. I jumped up fast and grabbed the bag off the chair. TJ---the one person at Three Springs you really need to nice too, she has the Wal-Mart Card, sends Matt a text message telling him that I just peed in his chair...curious as to what was going on (nicely put) he reportedly carried on a conversation with TJ for a good while that night. At one point he expressed a desire to have a new chair with more padding... We are just here to please... I took in my big fluffy pillow. We grabbed the worst chair out of the conference room, but the pillow on it, hid his diet-caffeine-free-coke and left him a note.

I do all my own stunts...

It was a free day. Semesters over, let's play. We had completed airplane making/throwing contest and let the boys loose to play basketball. I had been on one side of the court yard talking to a therapist. I was on my way back to the classroom when I noticed a basketball that had gotten away from the boys on the court. As I squatted down to get the ball my left foot slipped out from under mee, throwing mee off balance.
I thought about catching myself when I remembered hearing to is easier on the body to follow through with the fall. So, down I went. Sitting in the mud I gather the attention of most of the people in the court yard. Not wanting to sit in the mud I did a crab crawl the foot and a half to the sidewalk. As I sat there I was trying to estimate how much it was going to hurt and if I had a the time to go home and change.
It made the rest of the day interesting as I sat on a bag of ice....

Is it FRIDAY yet?

I am not sure what it means when Tuesday feels like Friday. It makes it sort of hard to think about what you need to get done for Wednesday when you are wanting another weekend. Today, is Wednesday. I got everything I needed to done for my Wednesday meetings. I even went to them. However, I kept thinking tomorrow willbe Friday....sigh... I am so ready for a summer break.

Making a Home

I have been trying to decide what I want to do to decorate my house. I have lots of stuff in it right now. I wish my camera was working so I could show you more. I was invited to an “At Home America” party which I enjoyed. There are a couple of things that I want to buy for my home. One of the items is a great May deal for a hostess, so I decided to have a lunch party on May 24th, 2008. I’ll get more information out soon.

Rave

I ran away. I am not quite sure what was driving the desire to do so. I felt a desire, almost a need to see Jon. Not sure. Even as I sit here in his house, using one of his computers, I am not sure why I decided to come. I am glad I came. It has been fun seeing him. He was in the last couple of hours getting ready for a huge party he had been planning for months. I think I was helpful. He is pretty sure he had almost 150 people here last night. I think he did GREAT. It was billed as a drug free Rave. I am have never been to a real rave so I couldn't tell you how closely they compare. It was fun. The house looked sweet. Upstairs was all black light with a sweet poster Brenton (a roomie) picked up for the event. Down stairs was music, lights, fog, and dancing.
