The desk was build in 1999. Sometime after my mission (2004-05) I decided I needed more. I had an idea in my head as to how I could build shelves to go above the desk. The idea was to have a space for my monitor and shelves around.
Again, with the added wisdom of my father I was able to accomplish a better product than by myself. We were actually able to use a shelving board that was already on hand.
Now that I have a laptop the monitor space works well for storing my sewing machine. And with the same brown paint I now have a new addition to my living room.
